Pap smear called as Pap test. A method to test for cervical cancer in women, involves in collecting cells from your cervix the lower, narrow end of your uterus. Women should undergo pap smear test at the age of 21. Doctors suggest pap test for every three years between 21 to 65. Women above 30, should consider HPV test along with pap. After a total hysterectomy & being older like age after 65 would consider to stop pap smears. During pap smear test doctor inserts speculum into your vagina.
